Clay Peck PARTIES at Grace Place / And now at City Star

The official story is that Clay Peck is a "Christ follower".  (see twitter profile at right)   And that sometimes, to spread the good news of the gospel, he goes on walkabout to preach to the natives:

PASTOR CLAY KNEW EXACTLY WHERE TO FIND THE NATIVES

"I was, uh, one day, after work, several years ago,  um, meeting someone

AVANT GARDE EVANGELISTIC CAMPAIGN

for a spiritual conversation at City Star, here in Berthoud .

You know about City Star?  It's a Brewery."  (Clay Peck, No Perfect People Allowed - Come As You Are But Don't Stay As You Are, Grace Place Berthoud, https://vimeo.com/channels/1060738/267279085, minute 20)

So, according to Clay Peck, he followed Christ right into the bar, and now it was time to build some bridges.  (see screenshot from Grace Place website at left)

But Berthoud is a small town, and Clay is a celebrity preacher, so "sometime later, not me, but another pastor, received an email from a church member saying, We're not going to Grace Place anymore, and one of the reasons is they drove by and saw me sitting outside City Star".  (Clay Peck, No Perfect People Allowed - Come As You Are But Don't Stay As You Are, Grace Place Berthoud, https://vimeo.com/channels/1060738/267279085, minute 21)  For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. (Luke 8:17, Holy Bible)

CLAY TRIES TO WIGGLE OUT OF IT

"But I was there to have a spiritual conversation over a craft beer".  (Clay Peck, No Perfect People Allowed - Come As You Are But Don't Stay As You Are, Grace Place Berthoud, https://vimeo.com/channels/1060738/267279085, minute 21)  Make that "beers".  Say you get started on the "Cowboy's Double Golden", move on to the "6 Shooter", and before you know it the "Bandit Brown" takes you.

Since, "First you take a drink, then the drink takes a drink, then the drink takes you". (per F. Scott Fitzgerald quotation at left)

Which is perfectly true, but Clay cries out "Truth without grace is MEAN"!!!!  (see tweet at right)   Claiming "by the way, I wasn't there to get drunk.  I don't do that." (Clay Peck, No Perfect People Allowed - Come As You Are But Don't Stay As You Are, Grace Place Berthoud, https://vimeo.com/channels/1060738/267279085, minute 20)

BUT THE TRUTH WAS OTHERWISE

"I smoked marijuana almost daily and abused alcohol every chance I got."  (Clay Peck, My Journey Out of Legalism, Testimony of 15 Jan 2000, http://www.formeradventist.com/stories/claypeck.html)(see a "spiritual conversation" at left)

And "Grace without truth is MEANINGLESS", as Pastor Clay freely admits.  (see Clay Peck tweet at right)  Or, as the Bible puts it, "Their worship of me is worthless, because they teach human rules as doctrines." (Mark 7:7 ISV, Holy Bible)

Mind you, the praise band puts out a great noise, but "I don't want just words.  If that's all you've got for me, you'd better go."  (F. Scott Fitzgerald)

But Clay claims the Lord doesn't care. (see tweet at left)

Which is completely wrong.

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither ... idolaters, ... Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9,10, Holy Bible)

So attend his open bar evangelistic meetings at your own risk -- at risk of your eternal salvation.

Sure they can drink you under the table, but "Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14 ESV, Holy Bible)
